Your overnight stay will include a full English or continental breakfast, made with fresh local produce, served in the 17th Century oak-beamed Castle View Restaurant the following morning.
We are extremely proud that the Maiden's Tower has been awarded the title of AA Unique Bed and Breakfast of the Year 2017/2018.
During your stay tables can be reserved in the Castle View Restaurant for dinner offering unrivalled views of the Castle lit at night and the menu features daily specials, which showcase the Head Chef’s creativity and flair.

Bookings for the Maiden's Tower can only be taken up to 4 weeks in advance. Should you select a date further ahead you may be offered our Stable Courtyard bedrooms. You will also be offered our Stable Courtyard bedrooms if there isn't any availability in the Maiden's Tower within this 4 week period.
Please note - Due to essential maintenance work being required on the front of the Castle, scaffolding will be put into place from 8th October until Spring 2019. The Castle is adjacent to the Maiden’s Tower therefore some noise maybe heard. Check in to the rooms will be from 4pm.

Check in is from 2pm and check out is at 10am, but if you arrive early you are more than welcome to park your car and explore the grounds and the Castle
Breakfast is served from 8am – 10am, 7 days a week in the Fairfax Restaurant which is near to the courtyard bedrooms and a couple of minutes’ walk from the Maiden’s Tower rooms.
Yes the Faifax Restaurant converts into an evening table-service restaurant called 'Castle View Restaurant'.
Unfortunately no pets are allowed, apart from guide/assistance dogs.
Yes, you have full access to the Castle and grounds for the duration of your stay. The Castle is only open during visitor hours and although there may be a private function taking place, this will only be open to invited guests.
Yes, we provide complimentary Molton Brown products for all guests.
We have 17 rooms in the Stable Courtyard area which include Deluxe Twin/Doubles, Deluxe Four Poster, Double/Twin rooms, Family room, Accessibility Room, Small Double and a Single room.
Yes, we have one dedicated room that can be either set up as a double or a twin. Also the bathroom is fully equipped for disabled guests.
Yes, some of our rooms have sofa beds or a z-bed which can be added for an additional cost per night. This cost includes breakfast.
Yes. Access on and off the estate is not a problem at any time. Guests are welcome to walk the gardens and estate outside opening times, but are asked to keep to the paths and lit areas after dark, particularly anywhere near the moat.
No, access to the Castle and grounds is included for the duration of your stay.
The Castle opens at 10.30am daily. Closure varies on the time of the year.
The Falconry Display takes place at 2pm daily from April to September. From October to March it takes place at 2pm at weekends and school holidays only. Please note that this activity is weather permitting.
These activities are not included in the cost and are not open all year round.
The cancellation policy is 14 days before arrival.
The Bed & Breakfast do not open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
They can but they must arrive through the Main Visitor Entrance and pay for their tickets.
Yes, these are provided in all rooms.
Yes, some rooms have them in the room itself, others are on a shared basis by the entrance to the rooms.
Unfortunately no, but fans are available on request in the summer months.
The restaurant and kiosks do sell beers and alcohol, but we do not have a dedicated bar.
We do not offer a room service for the Bed & Breakfast guests.
The usual lead time for bookings is 6 months for the Stable Courtyard Rooms and 4 weeks for the Maiden's Tower.
All rooms are fully paid at the time of booking.
Yes, we accept for residential guests for bookings.
