Housekeeping Staff

The housekeeping staff are responsible for cleaning all Bed & Breakfast and Holiday Cottages across the Leeds Castle estate, as well as rooms in the Castle. Flexibility to work one of the three shifts that need to covered throughout the day is important, 6.30am to 2pm, 10.30am to 6pm and 1.30pm to 9pm. Whilst you don’t need to have previous experience, you do need to be motivated, hardworking and enthusiastic and possess extremely high standards. Due to the location of the Estate you will also need to be able to drive and have your own transport. We have permanent full-time or part-time and zero hours vacancies available. In addition to being a beautiful place to work we offer a competitive salary and benefits package to the right applicants.

Assistant Retail Manager

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced full time retail specialist to assist and support the Retail Manager in the day to day running of the shops. The successful applicant should have Management or Supervisory experience gained in a retail environment, be commercially aware, and be able to generate sales and profitability for the shops.

Stock Room Supervisor

We have a full time vacancy for an experienced retail Stock Room Supervisor. The main responsibilities will be to oversee the operation of Goods In, two Stockrooms, and Retail area of Park Barn; organising and delivering stock and fixtures to and from our two main shops and any temporary or pop-up shops, as well as managing EPOS system to ensure accurate stock levels, including Stocktakes.

Functions Assistant

Leeds Castle, near Maidstone is one of the biggest heritage attractions in England, as well as being a popular venue for conferences, weddings and functions. We are currently recruiting a highly motivated, well presented, polished, Functions Assistant to support the Function Manager in all areas providing a high level of service to conference, banqueting, and residential guests.

Duties will include:

Assisting the Duty Manager in receiving guests and showing them to their rooms.

Collecting guests luggage and safe delivery to the appropriate room.

Taking responsibility for the set-up of rooms for castle conferences/day meetings ensuring adequate supplies of pens/pads/water etc. are supplied.

To take initiative in forward planning for set ups, with the help of the operational notes provided.

Clean fire places and re-lay fires in rooms as directed by Function Manager.

To assist during hospitality functions as required.

To empty litter bins/cigarette bins from designated areas following hospitality functions.

To respond to radio calls for any additional requests from Hospitality departments.

To work alongside the Hospitality Receptionist to meet guests booking into the Holiday Cottages and Bed and Breakfast rooms, showing them the facilities when required and ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed.

To provide an evening reception service when required.

The ideal applicant will ideally have had previous experience gained in a hotel or conference and banqueting environment, however we are willing to train the right applicant.

This is a seasonal position which will include working evenings and late nights and some overnight duties in the castle. The position will be reviewed in October/November 2018 depending on the level of business and seasonal demands. You must be able to drive and have a current driving licence.

Event Supervisor (zero-hour contract)

Levy Restaurants require an events supervisor to work in a busy conference and events department at the beautiful Leeds Castle. The conference and events team cater for all events within three venues, Castle, Maiden's Tower and Fairfax Hall, providing excellent food and great customer service. The duties for this role will include working in a team and managing a team of waiting and bar staff, ensuring excellent service is provided to our customers in a polite and friendly manner, overall management off the event, including liaising with the client, food service, clearing, ensuring service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe. Other duties will include training, cashiering, stock management and taking an active part in client relationships, and abiding strict HSE requirements.

Catering Supervisors

We are recruiting day visitor and restaurant supervisors to work in a busy restaurant (breakfast, lunch & evening shifts) and kiosk orientated environment. The day visitor restaurant caters for many people, providing excellent food and great service. The duties for this role will include working in a team of catering assistants, ensuring excellent service is provided to our customers in a polite and friendly manner, order taking, food service, clearing, basic food preparation, ensuring service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe. Other duties will include cashiering, stock management and taking an active part in any unit sales promotions.

Restaurant Supervisor

We are recruiting for a restaurant supervisor to work in a busy restaurant (evening shifts). Our evening restaurant caters for many people, including residential guests, providing excellent food and great service. The duties for this role will include working in a team of catering assistants, ensuring excellent service is provided to our customers in a polite and friendly manner, order taking, food service, clearing, basic food preparation, ensuring service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe. Other duties will include cashiering, stock management and taking an active part in any unit sales promotions.

Catering Assistants

Levy Restaurants require front of house waiting staff to work in a busy environment. The concessions and restaurant facilities caters for many people, providing excellent food and great service. The duties for this role will include, serving customers in a polite and friendly manner, other duties will include cashiering, vending and taking an active part in any unit sales promotions.

Events Waiters/Bar Staff

Levy Restaurants requires an events staff to work in a busy conference and events department at the beautiful Leeds Castle. The conference and events team cater for all events within three venues, Castle, Maidens Tower and Castle View Restaurant, providing excellent food and great customer service. Chef De Partie

Levy Restaurants requires a CDP to work in a busy catering environment at the beautiful Leeds Castle. From fine dining in a castle and our evening restaurant to working in a high turnover day visitor attraction venue.
With a new Executive Head Chef leading the kitchen, a varied role awaits, with endless career possibilities for anyone who is enthusiastic. The duties for this role will include working in a team, ensuring excellent service is provided to our customers, ensuring service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe. Other duties will include training, stock management and taking an active part in abiding strict HSE requirements.

Supervisor (Concessions)

Levy Restaurants requires a day visitor catering supervisor to work in a busy fast paced kiosk orientated environment (mainly 9am to 6pm) at the beautiful Leeds Castle. The day visitor concessions cater for many people over six outlets with added pop ups during peak season, providing excellent food and great service. The duties for this role will include working in a team and managing a team of catering assistants, ensuring excellent service is provided to our customers in a polite and friendly manner, order taking, food service, clearing, basic food preparation, ensuring service areas are kept clean, tidy and safe. Other duties will include training, cashiering, stock management and taking an active part in any unit sales. promotions. and abiding strict HSE requirements.

Kitchen Porters

Levy Restaurants UK are looking for someone with the ability to promote a welcoming environment where our colleagues, clients and customers receive great service. Must be polite and friendly with good customer care skills and neat/tidy in appearance. Must havea awareness of food hygiene standards and health and safety standards. A 'can do' attitude, prepared to help out the rest of the team in a willing and positive manner. Able to work in a busy environment. Good command of the English Language. Own transportation would be an advantage due to the location of Leeds Castle.
