A choice of venues for the perfect party or celebrations
The magnificent rooms within the Castle provide a memorable setting for celebrations with family and friends.
Once you are through the front door the Castle becomes yours for the night. Guests can enjoy pre-dinner drinks in the castle library followed by a game of croquet on the lawn, or curl up on the sofas in front of the open log fires, play the piano or have a game of backgammon in the drawing rooms. Leeds Castle offers a host of finishing touches including musical entertainment and stunning floral arrangements prepared by the castle’s florist. And of course the castle butler and his team are on hand to ensure everything runs smoothly.
Dinner can be served in the Castle dining room, with its delicate Chinese porcelain and Aubusson tapestries, while larger groups can feast like medieval Queens and Tudor Kings in the Henry VIII Banqueting Hall, with its magnificent fireplace, ebony floor and sweeping views across the castle moat.
Capacity: The Castle is available for private parties for 20 to 100 people on an exclusive use basis.
The Maiden's Tower
The Maiden’s Tower is a wonderful venue on the Castle island. Originally a Tudor bake house, until recently the Tower was the home of the last private owner’s daughter.
Today, the building has been fully refurbished and redecorated in beautiful period style, offering self-contained accommodation for events and celebrations. The imposing entrance hall with an extraordinary wall hanging by Raoul Dufy opens up into two tapestry-hung large rooms, both with huge fireplaces and polished oak floorboards.
In fine weather, the French doors can be opened onto the garden, offering private outdoor space. The Tower can be used throughout the day, and is entirely separate from the day visitor route with good disabled access to all facilities on the ground floor.
Five en-suite bedrooms offer complete luxury for the hosts and their guests. If you require further accommodation for your party, the nearby Stable Courtyard offers 15 additional bedrooms.
Capacity: The Maiden’s Tower accommodates up to 80 for dinner and 100 for drinks receptions.
The Fairfax Hall
The Fairfax Hall is an immaculately restored Kentish timber-framed barn that dates from 1680.
With sweeping views from its terrace across the moat to the castle, there are few better locations in Kent for a party.
The adjoining Terrace Room can be used for dancing, with doors that lead out on to the terrace where guests can mingle on a summer’s evening as they view the floodlit Castle.
Our hospitality team will be glad to recommend bands and discos to create the perfect ambience for your celebration. The Fairfax Hall is available in the evenings from 7pm.
The adjoining Stable Courtyard Bedrooms can be reserved for overnight accommodation, or for those wishing to stay longer, you can book a holiday cottage on the estate.
Capacity: A maximum capacity of 180
