Our Woodland & Wildlife volunteers create, maintain, sustain and manage habitats for a wide range of flora and fauna across the Leeds Castle estate.

It’s an area full of life and you will be playing your part in protecting the biodiversity that ensures mammals, insects, reptiles and birds are as welcome here as our paying visitors.

Our falconry volunteers play an important role in caring for the birds of prey and other birds that call Leeds Castle home. You’ll be supporting important conservation work, including welcoming new arrivals during baby season, our favourite time of year.

You will be helping us to ensure the eagles, owls and hawks kept at our Bird of Prey Centre feel like VIPs. With displays, visits and experiences organised for the enjoyment of the public, they certainly deserve all the attention they get.

As a Volunteer Gardner, you’ll be in your element rolling up your sleeves and with spade in hand, helping to transform some of the most mesmerising grounds and gardens in England – all year round. There’s no greater satisfaction than seeing the flowers you planted bloom – or the joy they bring.

Your task list will include maintaining magnificent areas of dazzling beauty such as the Lady Baillie Mediterranean Garden Terraces and the Culpeper Gardens, rewarding visitors who wander through with the perfect sensory experience.

As a host or hostess, you will be one of the people our visitors most remember from their visit to Leeds Castle helping them to discover the secrets and surprises of a place like no other.

This role is more than simply meeting and greeting people, as important as that is. You’ll be bringing this wonderful place to life as you share stories of queens and heiresses, fabulous parties and fascinating insights into life above and below stairs.

Come and support one of our oldest and most popular experiences. The nine-hole pay and play golf course at Leeds Castle is a spectacular place to work and play.

You’ll be helping to ensure our golfers have the best welcome by keeping the greens and bunkers in prime condition or answering any questions they might have while out on the fairway.
