Coloured final design for lantern type “E”, shown in P3/40/4/42. Designed for the front door of the Gatehouse. Based on a 16th-century example at the Hotel de Vogue in Dijon. Labelled “Projet I”. Accepted 12 May 1930. Initialled by Rateau.
