Lantern

Coloured final design for lantern type “A”, shown in P3/40/4/39. Notes indicates that there are to be 2 [3 overwritten] lanterns of this design varying slightly in detail plus 1 more outside the Bridge Room (now the Games Room). 1 lantern to be smaller than the others. Accepted for the Gloriette corridor leading to the Writing Room on the Salon side (Chapel Corridor). Dated 12 May 1930, refers to letters (presumably from Olive Wilson-Filmer) of 17 and 21 March 1930.

A lantern of a very similar design still hangs in the Chapel Corridor today.
