Torchere

Coloured design for a standing torchere for the “Vestibule Centrei”. Accepted 20 [month unclear] 1928. Initialled by Rateau. Two torcheres of a similar design remain on the Gloriette Landing today.

Photographs PH15/18 and PH15/32 show torcheres of a very similar design in situ in the Chapel Corridor and on the Gloriette Landing. Two of these torcheres still stand on the Gloriette Landing today.
