Here you can almost imagine gathering around the fireplace, glass in hand, for a rendition of Auld Lang Syne sung 1930s-style when Lady Baillie held court at one of England’s most stylish venues. Leeds Castle remains the place to be seen in Kent, and you’re invited to join the party.

Residential guests will have all the time they need to check into their magnificent Castle State or Classic rooms, joining the likes of the Duke of Windsor, Winston Churchill, Charlie Chaplin and other well-connected guests of high society soirées. Tonight you’ll also be in good company as you and friends – made or yet to be acquainted – see out 2026 in the most spectacular way.
The evening will begin for all with Kentish Sparkling Wine served in The Library, with its beautiful panelling complete with Moroccan glaze. It’s a place of sophisticated tinkling of flutes before you head down for dinner. Mingle with the other revellers and choose to join a guided tour of the Castle, gaining a glimpse into the life of the last private owner, Lady Baillie, who was one of the most influential hostesses of her time. She still inspires our events team to this day.
Dine in style with breathtaking views
The start of the New Year’s Eve banquet will then be announced and you’ll be kindly asked to take your seats. Then, enjoy an exquisite three-course fine dining experience using only the finest ingredients and served in the grand Salon. Of a day, this gorgeous space within Leeds Castle features breathtaking views across the scenic moat and on to the parklands beyond. Lit up at night, the aspect is just as mesmerising.
After dinner is done, dance the night away as a live band sets the mood for the evening, before your glass is refilled once more for the midnight toast. As the clock strikes twelve, a spectacular fireworks display will light up the sky as you ‘ohhh’ and ‘ahhh’, and celebrate the start of 2027 with fellow guests.
Reflect at breakfast and book your next event
Carriages will be at 1am for those saying adieu for the evening and heading back home with memories galore. Castle and Maiden’s Tower residential guests will enjoy a full English breakfast in the Castle the following morning and Stable Courtyard guests in the Castle View Restaurant.
