What was it about Leeds Castle that made you choose to have your wedding here?

Since I can remember, I have always wanted to get married at Leeds Castle. I wanted a fairy tale wedding, and luckily my husband-to-be, didn't mind that I wanted to be a princess, at least for a day anyway.

What was your favourite part of the planning and the day itself?

It was all amazing, and the fact that we had our own wedding planner who was able to help, and make suggestions was brilliant. After all, we haven't been married before, so wasn't quite sure where to start! The food tasting was excellent and put our minds at rest that the food was going to be amazing on the day.

Were there any little unexpected/funny surprises on the day?

The only surprise was that the weather was absolutely amazing! We weren't expecting it to be so good. It wouldn't have mattered anyway, as we were getting married, and at Leeds Castle!

What advice would you give to couples still planning their day?

Advice that we were given was to enjoy the day. Take a few moments just to relax together, and to watch your guests, and take in the atmosphere. Everything went to plan, and we didn't have any worries on the day. It was perfect!

What was it about Leeds Castle that made you choose to have your wedding here?

We fell in love with Leeds Castle when we came here for one of our first dates. We never in our wildest dreams imagined 9 years later we would be getting married in such a magical place. The Maiden's Tower was the first venue we looked at and nothing else compared to how it made us feel, we knew it was the only choice from the second we walked in.

What was your favourite part of the planning and the day itself?

The lead up to our big day was so wonderful, planning photographs with our photographer, coming with our parents to show them their rooms for the wedding night in the Maiden's Tower, food tasting in Fairfax Hall, all these times making planning the day so much more exciting and dream-like.

Every second of our wedding day was more than perfect, even the weather seemed timed to perfection with the rain clouds casting an amazing backdrop for our photographs, while the sun shone down on us. I felt like a princess from the moment I woke up. Our guests were truly blown away by how beautiful everything was and were as mesmerized by Leeds Castle as we were at our first visit.

We will never forget our perfect wedding day, it was so much more than we could ever have imagined and cannot thank enough everyone at Leeds Castle who made it the magical time for us, our family and our friends. It was truly the best day of our lives so far.

To quote one of our guests, "it was a day that showed everyone what the true meaning of love is".

What was it about Leeds Castle that made you choose to have your wedding here?

We chose Leeds Castle because of the location and scenery, not only was it close to where we lived but we felt that it was an ideal venue for all our nearest and dearest to get to, but set away enough to give that rural and beautiful setting. We viewed Leeds Castle and whilst driving up to the castle we knew straight away that this was going to be our wedding venue. The views and setting took our breath away, our decision had been made.

Is there a special memory that stands out about being at Leeds Castle?

Of course getting married was the highlight of the day, but the one special memory we can take away is the organisation behind it all from the day we met the staff leading up to the actually big day. Communication with the staff was exceptional, and it was never an issue to alter/change anything that we wanted, they exceeded our expectations on every level.

We were always told weddings can be stressful however we felt that all the staff helped us through this, the only time we felt a little stressed was the moments leading up to the actual marriage but I’m sure that's to be expected!

What we particularly liked about Leeds Castle was their contingency plans, as we all know British weather can be unpredictable and we liked the way they had contingency plans in place just in case we had bad weather, fortunately it stayed dry for us until later on that evening.

What advice would you give to couples still planning their day?

If you are still hunting for a wedding venue look no further than Leeds Castle. It's got everything you need to make the day truly amazing, the staff work with you and ensure your day is perfect. We could not fault Leeds Castle one bit, we were never rushed, we did everything at our own pace.

What we also found with Leeds Castle was the amount of things you could do on the grounds the day after, many weddings we have been to do not have any other facilities and people leave sharpish the day after. Leeds Castle offered so many things to do, it was actually quite nice to go for a stroll and then go into the maze with family and friends and reminisce our big day!

Thank you for making our day so special, we had the best day of our lives and would love to relive it again tomorrow.
